Curlew Valley Policy Meeting

On September 7, 1967 at 1:00 the State Engineer held a public meeting to discuss the policy of the Curlew Valley. The State Engineer has placed a moratorium on approvals of any new application in the Curlew Valley. Also he has informed all pending approved applicants that they have until August 31, 1972 to place the water to full beneficial use. No extensions of time will be allowed on pending approved applications beyond that date. No action will be taken on unapproved applications until additional studies can be made and the effect of the present development be determined on the ground-water basin.
