Total acreage listed on water company page is based on State Engineer’s Order on change
application a15006.  NJIC does have a pending objection to the total acreage listed in
the proposed determination.  The total acreage will be reviewed as the objection is
resolved and the adjudication is completed.  The 3,169.71 does include the 2,000 acres
sold for the Welby/Jacob exchange.



NJIC historically had 5,000 shares (1936 Articles). 



In 1967, 32% of the right was acquired by KCC (59-3517). This reduced the number of
company shares to 3,400. Shares were quantified at 4.66 acre-feet per share.  



Proposed Determination books were published in 1977, 1978 and 1979 describing the
company’s water rights.



In 1989 under "Welby/Jacob Exchange", 10,000 acre-feet was sold (59-5272) and the NJIC
shares were revalued to be 1.72 acre-feet per share. The number of shares in the company
remained at 3,400.



Water Right 59-5272 is a segregated portion of 59-3496 based on a deed from North
Jordan Irrigation Company to SLCWCD (JVWCD) for 10,000 acre-feet (Welby/Jacob
Exchange).

59-2459.
